Foundations in Yoga covers the correct alignment of basic yoga postures (asanas) with the use of special yoga props for comfort and ease, breathing techniques (pranayama) and guided relaxation. Each weekly class will build upon the previous to establish a firm foundational yoga practice.
If you are relatively new to yoga or want to deepen your current yoga practice, then this is the course for you. This course will focus on the core series of yoga poses, postural alignment and applied breathing techniques. Each class will provide an opportunity in a safe and welcoming environment for individuals to tune into their bodies and develop a greater understanding of how best to move, breathe and stay present: become fluent in the language your body speaks!
